Origami Workshops this summer at Pima County Public Libraries

Mary Ellen Palmeri, origami teacher/founder of Origami LAFF (Lyrics Arts Folding Fest) is hosting several origami workshops at the Pima County public libraries.  These are family friendly activities, and very cool for the hot summer months.

Schedule:

July 18: Prehistoric Origami at Quincie Douglas library, 1585 E. 36th St., 11 a.m.

July 21  Origami Games at Valencia library, 202 W. Valencia Rd. , 2 p.m.

July 27 Origami Games at Flowing Wells library,1730  W. Wetmore Rd. , 2 p.m.

August 12 Origami Safari at Kirk-Bear Canyon library, 8959 E. Tanque Verde Rd. , 10 a.m.

“Time to put on your best cosplay and gather up your bag of holding! MegaMania!! 2017 is here and it is bigger and better than ever! Gather up your friends and join us at Pima Community College Downtown as we celebrate our seventh year of free comic-con fun.

Pig out on free pizza, drinks, and snacks in the Cantina, try to clock your best time running through our inflatable obstacle course and immerse yourself in the many different cultures of Tucson in our Cultural Room.

Wanna win some epic loots? Try your hand at our conference quest and secure yourself a chance to win one of three EPIC prize backpacks!

Still not convinced? We’ll have a slew of local artists and prominent authors, panels on all kinds of cool pop culture topics, a cosplay room where you can craft your own gauntlets or capes, crafting, live PvP on the green, a gamer’s den sporting everything from Playstation to Minecraft to board game, and much, much more! Don’t miss this free adventure!
