Following his talk, participants will roll up their sleeves for a hands-on “Make a Mug” workshop, where Keita will guide you through the process of shaping your own functional piece of pottery.Whether you’re a beginner or simply curious about the craft, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore creativity, connect with others, and leave with a handmade creation of your own. About the Instructor: Keita Tsutsumi moved to Tucson in 2014 to serve in an AmeriCorps role and began teaching ceramics at a community art center serving adults with disabilities. Since 2020, he has been a dedicated instructor at the Tucson Clay Co-op. His work, which combines the discipline of ceramics with movement arts, can be found on Etsy and at local artisan markets.
