Annual Tucson Japanese Festival scheduled at new location – Tucson Chinese Cultural Center on January 19, 2019

Here’s the official event flyer with list of performers, food for purchase, displays & presentations for our upcoming New Year’s festival. As usual there will also be door prizes from some of the Japanese vendors (i.e. restaurants) in Tucson.

First New Year’s mochi pounding festival was held at Yume Japanese Gardens, then at Rhythm Industry Performing Center (home of Odaiko Sonora), with the next three years at Pima Community College Downtown campus.  The TJF 2019 has grown larger, and will be moved to the lovely Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, with the same Japanese activities for children and adults, delicious food (takoyaki, ramen, etc.) and musical/dance performances.

Stay tuned for schedule of events in January, prior to the festival. More info will also be on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/southernazjapan/.  Phone # for info is 520-577-1763 (leave a message).

    • No, there are no pre-sales or pre-registration. Just show up & pay the $5 fee, and children 5 years and under are free as stated in the flyer.
